Job Position Title:Fillroom Lead

Function:Operations

Position Summary:

Able to work effectively in a High Performing Team, accurately and with limited supervision. Execute additional duties as required by Manufacturing Unit Leader / Shift Production Leader / Business Unit Manager.  Required to work within the guidelines established by the Business Unit. Must be familiar with all specifications as outlined in the Fillroom Operator Instructions, process specifications, quality systems manual, product drawings and GMP manuals which pertain to these operations. Must comply with all department protective clothing, safety and management policies. Must be familiar with specifications and documentation associated with operations of this position. Responsible for producing quality product at the requirements set for production rates and schedule compliance. Additional responsibilities can be added by the Manufacturing Unit Leader or Business Unit Manager as they see fitEnsures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and proceduresRegular, punctual attendance is an essential job functionAbility to read and write and converse in EnglishWilling and able to uphold BD Values.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • This position requires skills beyond that of a PosiFlush Fillroom Operator. This position also requires leadership and mentoring skills. The Fillroom Lead will work alongside operators from each shift and supply them with the knowledge to become a higher performing operator. This will come from an annual assessment done by the PosiFlush Fillroom Lead Operator with assistance from the PosiFlush Technical staff and the PosiFlush Quality staff. 

  • The Lead Operator will do the final assessment of every new hire in Posiflush before they will be signed off. Operators not meeting the expectations set forward by the department will be addressed and retraining will begin. If any selected Fillroom Operator does not meet the criteria set forth the PosiFlush Fillroom Lead Operator will bring this to the attention of the BLT to deal with. 

  • The PosiFlush Fillroom Lead Operator will also do an assessment of each filling machine before every scheduled combo. Our goal will be too never fail a combo through the in depth review of the machine. While in the room for this review the Lead will also look at all equipment in the room and relay any issues to the Technical Group or the Shift Production Leader as needed to make repairs as needed or to address general cleanliness in the Fillroom. 

  • The Lead Operator will concentrate on lines that are under performing and bring any issues to the Manufacturing Unit Leader and the Technical staff to get all issues fixed and increase production. 

  • One of the other tasks of the Lead Operator will be to create a plan around breaks and how we will move qualified Fillroom Operators into the fillroom while others are gone from the line for any reason. The goal for the Lead Operator is to keep all the lines running at maximum potential at all times. This will include analysis of downtime events, setting a rotation for stocking garments and use of operators external to the fillroom to maximize output. 

  • WORK SCHEDULE

  • This position is a first shift job working 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday with hours to be adjusted as needed to address issues on the off shifts. The Lead Operator will work with the Manufacturing Unit Leader to set a schedule that works for the Lead Operator and addresses the need of the PosiFlush Department. 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • Previous Fillroom experience required

  • One year manufacturing experience required

  • Two years manufacturing experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understand scheduling process, understand daily requirement to meet schedules and budget.

  •  Ability to operate Quality gauges

  • Must be able to prioritize workload.

  • Ability to maintainaccurate records.
