Marketing Intern - Advanced Repair and Reconstruction (ARR)

Job Description Summary

BD Interventional Surgery worldwide business unit, located in Rhode Island, is a leading developer,
manufacturer, and marketer of innovative, life-enhancing medical technologies.
The Advanced Repair and Reconstruction (AR&R) Platform is the industry leader in hernia repair. The Intern position will be responsible for supporting marketing activities aligned with the AR&R International Marketing Strategy. The position will work with the AR&R Global Marketing Team to support commercial activities to accelerate global expansion.

This position will work in partnership with other businesses and cross-functional teams to assure that growth objectives are achieved.

This position will report to the Associate Director, Global Marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support marketing program executions, projects and commercial activities. These will include driving commercial excellence, market expansion and clinical leadership targeting activities

  • Execute the International Communication strategy to the regions to ensure a consistent cadence of communication through Meetings, Newsletters, Videos, etc.

  • Support development of marketing collateral

  • Lead Advertising and Promotion (AdProm) content approval process and systems and maintain portfolio claims matrix

  • Develop claims matrix by pulling references and sources to route through our Adprom process

  • Develop an understanding of the AR&R product portfolio and competitive landscape

  • Develop a Competitive Landscape summary for prioritized portfolios

  • Build relationships with cross functional stakeholders

  • Run region sales and unit financial analysis

  • Support AR&R Platform business items; create reports and presentations for the AR&R Platform team, manage team budget tracking report, and lead and send out team monthly report

Minimum Requirements:

  • Business major or other applicable undergrad or masters level program (e.g. MBA) with an interest or focus in marketing or healthcare

  • Effectively work cross functionally
  • Effectively prioritizes and allocates resources to drive most impactful business outcomes
  • Exemplary written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong results orientation
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment of accountability
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently
  • Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
