Role PurposePlan the procurement of the material required to support Customer Demand and New Product introduction and develop and execute the business unit production schedule.

Job Functions
Assist in planning materials requirements and place purchase orders from outside suppliers to continuously support production schedules and new product launches, including:
- Partnering with the supplier to ensure materials are made to the proper specs
- Escalate obstacles to meet the schedule
- Assist in the analysis of current EW and VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) levels to determine if VMI release is warranted
-Expediting purchase orders as required. Includes expediting material from the receiving dock though receiving inspection, to production stores (e.g. warehouse)
-Monitor acquisition of equipment/assets through Capital Procurement Assets (CPA) process
- Execute and maintain gross inventory targets
- Participate and execute cost reduction and cycle time reduction initiatives
- Update changes/parameters within MRP (Material Requirements Planning) in the Manufacturing Enterprise system.
- Other incidental duties assigned by Leadership
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related field (Required)
- 1 Year of previous related experience (Required)
- Experience in purchasing and/or production control (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
-APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification
(Preferred)
Required Skills
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Intermediate to advanced English
• Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills
• Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Good knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures
and guidelines relevant to purchasing material and/or production control
• Good knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory management programs (e.g., JIT/Kanban, Min/Max)
• Good problem-solving skills
• Strict attention to detail
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Work is performed independently on sections of projects and/or lines of work and reviewed for accuracy and soundness
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
