At Waters Drachten, we work on something that truly matters. We develop and manufacture innovative, automated laboratory machines that are used worldwide in the fight against disease and antibiotic resistance. As an Assembly Specialist, you play a key role in this process: you ensure that our high‑quality systems are assembled and tested flawlessly.

What will you do?

In this role, you are responsible for assembling complex sub‑assemblies and modules. You work with precision, follow technical drawings, and ensure that each component meets our strict quality standards.

Your focus areas:

• Craftsmanship: You assemble and test modules in accordance with the Waters Excellence System.
• Quality & Safety: You work error‑free according to specifications and help maintain a safe, clean working environment (5S+1).
• Continuous Improvement: You identify deviations and proactively contribute ideas to make our processes even smarter and better.
• Team Spirit: You independently resolve minor issues and support colleagues in other departments when needed.

Who are we looking for?

You are a technician at heart with a keen eye for detail. You enjoy continuous personal development and adapting to a dynamic production environment.

• Education: Ideally, you have an MBO level‑3 diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Precision Engineering, but experience is more important to us.
• Knowledge: You can read and understand technical drawings and instructions fluently.
• Skills: You have experience with basic measuring instruments and work accurately and independently.
• Attitude: You are proactive, quality‑driven, and a true team player.
• Language: Good command of Dutch and a basic understanding of English.
