Job Description Summary

The candidate will work within the PMO, R&D Engineering, and Instrument Manufacturing Operation in the development and sustaining engineering of instrumented diagnostic products.

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate Change Control activities in support of ongoing product engineering activities, working with R&D team members and acting as the process expert and lead in driving the timely and compliant completion of Change Controls.
  • Coordinate CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) activities within R&D, working with R&D team members to drive timely and compliant completion of CAPA activities.
  • Coordinate various office support services, including Curriculum to Compliance training system, facilities management and IT support requests.
  • Support materials management for the product development process.
  • Support department leadership with event planning including annual Technology Fair, team social activities and offsite events.
  • Manage small projects on standards or departmental process development via Microsoft Teams or SharePoint
  • Manage and conduct other small projects within the PMO and R&D Engineering as needed or assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Operates well in a fast paced environment. Efficiency in time management. Proven ability to provide fast turnaround of routine tasks.
  • Skilled at written and verbal professional communications
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint and Teams
  • Soft skills: Able to take direction, eager to learn, self-motivated, practical, flexible
  • Dedicated team player that is capable of working independently

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Additional related coursework and experience, specific to business and project management required.   
  • Experience with new product development and product lifecycle management activities, processes, and organizations.
  • Experience with medical devices and associated processes and regulations a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience organizing events, training, and small project teams.
  • Able to lead small technical teams through a defined process to complete activities on schedule and in compliance with our quality procedures.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated to seek out and complete tasks and to learn new skills
  • Effective analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Project, Excel, Word).
  • Previous experience in a technical / engineering environment is a plus
