This field position can be based anywhere in east coast, ideally near a major airport. This role will require 75% travel.

IMPRESS is a software application for managing and tracking assets.  The IMPRESS portfolio offers a full range of scalable, real-time and integrated instrument management solutions with extensive support.  Using these solutions, you can manage your inventory, people and processes throughout the continuum of instrument management.

Accountabilities:

Responsible for setup, installation and training of IMPRESS.  Works directly with client to manage initial access, map and transfer data, create process documentation and train or coordinate training for client users.  Test and trouble shoots functionality of installed systems; identifies and documents technical issues to be escalated to product and system integration teams for resolution.  Provides feedback based on client experiences to product and professional services teams for product and process improvements.  May work directly with client’s onsite or provide support remotely.

Technical:

  • Conduct customer meetings with assistance and leadership of a senior team member or manager.
  • Provide written documentation to appropriate team members and customer addressing each facet of implementation on every project. This includes an overall project rollout plan, timelines and project assignments for the IMPRESS and customer teams.
  • Perform Install’s, Upgrades and Support IMPRESS software.
  • Complete training and develop basic competency in the IMPRESS product line.
  • Conduct customer training on the use of IMPRESS products.
  • Understand Hospital Information Systems/ Healthcare IT system interfaces
  • Develop competency and comply with the requirements of the established IMPRESS project management process.
  • Coordinate customer resources and assign project tasks.
  • Complete weekly logs, expense reports, project plans, etc.
  • Maintain Account Summaries.

  • Applies knowledge of the customer's business to assess and develop optimal solutions.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent degree.
  • Prefer some training and teaching experience.
  • Prefer moderate to strong technical skills: exposure to basic programming concepts and uses; demonstration of technical skills in working environment; working knowledge of variety of software/hardware applications and accessories; understanding of relationship between software and hardware; exposure to interface and communications technology.
  • The effective Implementation Manager must be able to clearly communicate, thoroughly document, demonstrate a fundamental ability to project manage and overcome project hurdles/timeline delays while performing basic installations.
  • Must have strong organization skills. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, “can-do” attitude.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Hospital SPD or healthcare experience a plus.
  • Work from home office and extensive travel; approximately 75% overnight travel.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.
