The Dispensing Implementation Manager Professional Services is a management position responsible for leading and managing teams within the Project Management and National Operations organization.  Project and Program Management lead implementation projects, manage all aspects of the financial backlog management process to meet revenue delivery goals, and are ultimately responsible for the outcome of each project.  This group is also responsible for the PMO and associated project and program management practices and tools. 

**Home-based position with travel.  The ideal candidate will reside in IN, MI, OH, W. PA or W. VA, but candidates near a major airport in other locations in the U.S. will be considered.**

The overall responsibilities of the Professional Services Manager within the National Operations and PMO departments include:

  • Support strategic direction of BD Medication Management System (MMS) and provide leadership to the Project Management and National Operations organization
  • Development and management of project / program management processes and tools
  • Management and oversight of the Dispensing implementation process
  • Responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of BD MMS products
  • Development and management of effective practices, tools and standards for communicating information to teams, peers, executive leadership, and customers implementation activities
  • Establishes strong collaborative relationships at all levels within BD, customer and prospect facilities
  • Drives collaboration with Sales to support processes including pre-sales, contract / quote support, Quarterly Business Reviews, etc.
  • Management of accurate financial forecasting and delivery on monthly and quarterly revenue budgets
  • Monitors and controls expenses in alignment with budget
  • Responsible for customer engagement, customer satisfaction and managing escalations as assigned
  • Perform select Account Management functions for assigned customers
  • Collaborate within Dispensing Implementation to determine roles, responsibilities, and staffing needs for the implementation team to support customer projects / programs, company goals and objectives
  • Recruits, hires and develops a high performing team
  • Build strong team environment, culture of teamwork, collaboration, continuous improvement and customer excellence
  • Ensures project and program manager readiness to align with Organizational Readiness plans
  • Reviews analyzes activities, costs and operations data to determine progress towards Implementation goals
  • Maintain strong industry and product knowledge
  • Manage time and resources effectively to meet company objectives

  • Demonstrates knowledge of industry-recognized project management methodologies
  • Possesses healthcare project or management experience and demonstrates thorough knowledge and understanding of management methodologies and relevant clinical and IT operations
  • Understands customer medication management workflow and is able to contribute / consult on best use of BD products
  • An understanding and commitment to meeting /exceeding project / program deliverable and customer expectations
  • Ability to manage complex and multi-faceted customer issues and relationships
  • Ability to absorb strategic product roadmap and articulate high level vision with customer stakeholders
  • Integrates knowledge of BD’s organization structure into solutions development
  • Ability to use governance and management tools to report and manage the health of all implementation projects and programs and all supporting methodologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
  • Leadership or project management experience required
  • Prefer experience leading teams with experience implementing and supporting healthcare IT software solutions, experience with capital equipment model is a plus
  • Experience with managing virtual teams and demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed environment
  • Specific knowledge of BD Medical Systems business or products highly desired.
  • Prefer knowledge of hospital systems and procedures that integrate with BD products.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.
  • Home based position with travel.  Travel may range from 25 - 75%, overnight travel.  Position requires flexible working hours, including some nights and weekends.  Ability to work independently from home office
  • Upon hire, must provide proof of, and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform essential job functions. Proofs must include: Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox) Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis
