Job Description Summary

The Project Engineering Coordinator manages all of the functions and activities related to the Project Engineering group. Supports the mold validation projects within the plant. Manages major capital projects for the plant. Gives direction to the machine design functions within the plant. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and practices and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.

Job Description

Responsibilities

1.    Develops an extensive knowledge of customer needs, product specifications, and product functional expectations at the customer level.
2.    Maintains awareness of new manufacturing process development in order to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
3.    Serves as the plant liaison to the Division R&D and Project Management Teams.  This affiliation is intended to prepare the plant for future growth opportunities in existing and new product lines.
4.    Supports the manufacturing plant and Division by coordinating factory work orders, product testing, process validation, and enhancements to existing or new products to ensure alignment with customer needs.
5.    Stays informed as to the latest requirements of federal and all other regulatory agencies regarding medical products.
6.    Create product specifications, operating procedures, capital budgets, and test procedures.  
7.    Prepare ECOs and CB2’s.
8.    Maintains extensive knowledge of machine design and project management.
9.    Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Minimum education :  Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Minimum experience : Five years in the engineering field.
