Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Responsible for providing support to Production by safely supplying and removing material to and from the production area while maintaining product identify/traceability/material status and assisting in functional areas of the Warehouse Department. 
  • Ensure compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and practices and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.  
  • Ensure compliance with: BD quality systems, policies, procedures and practices, BD safety regulations, policies and procedures, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act training, Right –To-Know training, Hazardous materials Handlers’ training, all local, state and federal laws.  
  • Must have or achieve a valid commercial driver’s license Class A per Nebraska State Law LB285 within 180 days of accepting the job. If license is not obtained by deadline, activity of pursuance will be reviewed for options.
  • Must be able to safely operate electric forklifts (stand up and sit down), electric pallet jacks, slip sheeting equipment and tuggers.   
  • Must achieve and maintain forklift certification.  
  • Must be able to work with MES for the electronic transfer of product.
  • This person reports to the Shift Coordinator and also takes instructions from the shipping clerks. They shall be able to work accurately with limited supervision.
  • Regular, punctual attendance is required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to speak, read & write English.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have or achieve a valid commercial driver’s license Class A per Nebraska State Law LB285 within 180 days of accepting the job. If license is not obtained by deadline, activity of pursuance will be reviewed for options.

Loading of finished product onto trailers for shipment to final destination ( DC. Sister plants or Direct to customer) Preparation of product when needed for LTL, or air shipment. Movement of trailers into and out of dock doors and parking lot. Duties will also include movement to off site warehouse locations. Responsible for maintaining accurate product identification, traceability and material status and accurately: Transfer product in and out of the Warehouse rack system. Transport raw, in process, or finished goods materials into and out of the production area.  Includes rejected/questionable material, Experimental and Validation materials. Transport hazardous materials into and out of production areas. Recycle/remove waste as needed. Reporting damaged materials as detected. Maintain complete, accurate and legible records.
