Associate Director, US Marketing, Acute Care UCC

The Associate Director, US Marketing, is responsible for the strategic direction and financial performance of the $600M+ US business and will lead a team of four Marketers. This leader will be responsible for elevating existing and bringing in new Marketing capabilities to accelerate achievement of growth objectives. They will also drive key strategic initiatives for the US Region, working closely with cross-functional leaders and senior management. The Associate Director, US Marketing reports to and work closely with the Worldwide Marketing Director, Acute Urology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute bold commercial strategies to achieve US Region revenue and profitability growth targets. This will include, but not be limited to launching new products and reinvigorating existing solutions, developing and delivering new services, leveraging new channels and types of promotion, and driving price and portfolio optimization.

  • Be the US Marketing team leader, with four direct reports, supporting their growth and achievement of their business objectives. Partner closely with sales and other functional leaders to remove obstacles and capitalize on opportunities.

  • Constantly enhance customer experience through improved demand and supply planning, outstanding customer support, and rapid and effective issue resolution.

  • Lead the development of omnichannel marketing campaigns to drive commercial growth by developing differentiated value propositions that address customers unmet needs through evidence generation and dissemination.

  • Support the Global Marketing team with market insights and customer feedback to guide innovation and new product development.

  • Develop and deliver annual marketing and strategic plans, tracking execution and course correcting when necessary.

  • Develop and manage external relationships with key opinion leaders and vendors as needed to achieve business objectives, being the point of contact for any interactions, including status updates, scope of work management, tracking timelines, ensuring deadline, etc.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Experience and Education

  • BS/BA in business or science. MBA is strongly desired.

  • 8+ years of relevant marketing and/or commercial experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or other healthcare field with a consistent track-record of high performance and results.

  • Experience managing and leading teams and working cross-functionally and globally is required.

  • Experience selling medical device or pharmaceutical products preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to formulate and implement bold marketing and product strategies, convert these into tactical marketing plans, and deliver results.

  • Creative out-of-the-box mindset, is intellectually curious, stays current on new trends, and takes calculated risks with novel ideas. Demonstrated ability to redirect a commercial strategy or deliver a “turnaround” in business performance is strongly desired.

  • Sound decision making capabilities and the ability to make decisions in uncertain or risky situations, even in the absence of consensus, when necessary.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to utilize organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to effectively negotiate and persuade others.

  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for a wide variety of audiences.

  • Managerial courage to speak up when important information or questions must be raised and takes action when issues must be addressed.

  • Flexibility to travel at least 25% of the time.
