Job Description Summary

Under minimal supervision, the position is responsible for data entry of the receiving paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion. The position controls receiving for non-inventory and inventory receipts for multiple divisions supported by the Covington Facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data entry of receiving paperwork into the JDE and MFGPro systems within 24 hours and accurate manner

  • Process all non-inventory POs within 24 hours of receipt

  • Scan designated documents to the GDC receiving personnel

  • Transfers inventory from one location to another in appropriate system.

  • Processes Distribution Order (DO) releases in MFG-Pro system

  • Receives products into Incoming Quality Control

  • Processes receipts for internal customer requests of inventory into the JDE and MFGPro systems

  • Transact inventory from internal customer requests to GDC via JDE and MFGPro systems

  • Scan and Filing of all receiving documents within 24 hours.  Transfer of monthly files into storage boxes and properly label

  • Interaction with Bard’s internal and external customers

  • Communicate and reconcile discrepancies with receiving documents by handling issues arising in shipping or inventory handling

  • Backup for the verification of Trailer Seals, Bill of Laden, and inspection of trailers for damages

  • Initiate and Maintain a 5S process for the Receiving Office and workspace through organizing, filing, and cleaning on a regular basis

  • Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, logging them and distributing packages and letters within the company

  • Schedule shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments

  • Assist with Receiving metrics.  Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for supervisor/ managers

  • Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems

  • Assist with trouble shooting shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them

  • Assist Receiving Coordinators with receiving incoming packages, lifting items as necessary, and operating forklifts and pallet jacks for all medical devices and goods

  • Other duties that may be assigned.


Educational Qualifications & Previous Experience

  • High school education, GED or equivalent work experience.

  • 1-2 years of data entry experience.

  • Knowledge of JDE and MFG-Pro system.

  • Requires the use of a pallet jack.

  • Knowledge of Inventory Control

Desired / Additional Skills & Knowledge

This is a full-time position.

  • Days and hours of work vary

  • Standard shift if 8 hours

  • Shift schedule rotates between Monday through Friday, 1st shift

  • Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.   Employee is required to meet with other personnel in other areas of building.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.  Must be free of any health conditions that would prohibit assignments to tasks that require heavy lifting, pulling, bending and or prolonged standing.
