Duties and Responsibilities: Hybrid Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
The Software Test Engineer will support UCC’s ever increasing electromechanical medical device portfolio that includes software/embedded systems.
Focus on testing during design, V&V, and post release investigations for UCC products with software.
Analyze requirements, develop & run manual test cases for software V&V.
Design and develop automated tests using C/C++/Python or other relevant programming languages and frameworks.
Work closely with software developers and other cross-functional teams in understanding the applications and systems to test effectively.
Identifydefectstoimprovesoftwarequalityandassist software developers in resolving them.
Perform all V&V related documentation.
Participates in bug/defect risk mitigation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related technical field.
2+ years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of software testing.
Experience in developing automated test cases.
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages: C, C++, Python.
Nice to have:
Experience working in an FDA regulated environment.
Knowledge of IEC 62304.
Familiar with Azure DevOps.
Experience with medical device SW testing.
Experience with embedded software.
