About the role

You will be responsible for the sales of BD Immunocytometry (IS) and BD Pharmingen (PMG) products by direct sales activities, the aim being to grow and develop the sales revenue in the territory (Rotterdam and South of The Netherlands). The focus for this person will be in selling flow cytometry instrumentation and associated reagents into the clinical and research markets (universities, biotechnology companies and hospitals). This role will report to the Sales Manager Benelux.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Selling:Promoting flow cytometry instrumentation and associated reagents to clinical and research markets, including universities, biotech companies, and hospitals.
  • Growth:Meeting growth targets for BD Immunocytometry and BD Pharmingen product ranges through direct sales activities, negotiations, tender responses, exhibitions, and technical support.
  • Collaboration:Participating in sales meetings, providing accurate market insights and sales forecasts.
  • Reporting:Generating regular reports for our marketing teams, highlighting market trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Database Management:Maintaining accurate customer contact details, marketing attributes, and opportunity management in the CRM database.

About you

  • A degree in Cell Biology, Haematology, Immunology, or related subjects, or 2-3 years of practical laboratory experience, preferably in flow cytometry.
  • Proficient in spoken and written Dutch.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, motivation to achieve sales targets, and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Sales experience is not mandatory; however, a technical background, the right attitude, organizational skills, enthusiasm, and results-orientation are essential.
