About the role

Reporting to Senior Director Business Process, you are responsible for establishing and governing a data governance program to improve and sustain data quality, handle information as an asset, and improve decision-making across EMEA. You set up and measure performance criteria and continuously work on improving data quality. You keep a primary focus on our customers, contacts, and products master data which is relevant to operating business processes cross-functionally. You work with data owners, businesses, and functions to support the business management team in driving business processes and needs.

Main responsibilities include:

• Proactively champion the value of information (data) as a strategic business asset and revenue generator by providing the key partner's ideas and promoting those ideas into action.

• Deploy BD’s Data Governance playbook across the identified Master Data Management Building Blocks for EMEA. Build a Data Governance charter with defined targets and drives execution, while demonstrating the ecosystem of data stewards & data owners.

• Establish and drive communication, review, and approval strategy to ensure master data quality, and to put plans in place to address any required data quality improvements.

• Build and maintain Data governance policies, playbook(s), processes, and procedures for guiding various data management processes, including the adoption of data quality control and data dissemination activities.

• Serve as a liaison between the functions and IT, to ensure that data-related requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and well understood.

• For improvements & project initiatives, identify & plan data cleansing/preparatory steps/activities that should be performed prior to the beginning of the implementation.

About you

You have extensive knowledge of End-to-End data processes and experience in establishing a governance model in the region with a main focus on the customers. You have gained experience in similar roles in industries/companies that are best in class in Data Governance.

A skilled communicator, you connect easily with senior partners and team members to drive organizational change. You possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities and have a proven record in project management and continuous improvement. Furthermore, you have shown efficiency, and strategic and analytical agility in delivering functional and business leadership, including influencing skills across a highly matrixed organization.

This position is open to be located in various countries across EMEA (except UK & Switzerland).
