About the role

This is an opportunity to participate in the renewal of an organization that is looking to move toward a proactive and standardized Continuous Improvement system and mentality.

Reporting to Vice President of Operational Excellence, this role is responsible for developing Lean capabilities and supporting the implementation of BD Excellence across the Life Science Segment Manufacturing and End2End network. As a business partner to the BD Life Science Segment Integrated Supply Chain Senior Vice President and as a member of the respective Leadership Team, She/He will work to shape the deployment strategy of BD Excellence and support the implementation, ensuring speed and consistency to deliver tangible business impact.  

Key focus areas include primarily but not exclusively material and information flow optimization, scrap reduction and creation of quality process control in the plant, continuous reduction of not value-added activities to drive productivity improvement and development of people capabilities to accelerate progression of BD Excellence.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic and experienced leader with demonstrated skills in driving Lean transformation in large and matrixed organizations with operations located across different countries.

About you

We are looking for a strong OPEX leader with a proven track record in designing and implementing cross-company programs within large matrix networks with a keen eye for business . A practitioner in lean manufacturing techniques, you also bring experience in digital technology road mapping and strategy development. We are very open to candidates coming from outside of medtech/healthcare.

Other desirable attributes include:

• Facilitation & Organizational change leadership skills.
• Certified six-sigma black belt would be a strong plus (Master Black Belt preferred) or Lean leader with Manufacturing /supply chain/continuous improvement experience.
• Confirmed experience preferably in both direct and indirect leadership roles
• Project Management expertise
