Job Description SummaryThe Chargeback Analyst is accountable for distributor chargeback and sales trace processing within the Commercial Contract Operations CoE pillar. This will be successfully accomplished through collaborative relations with external and internal business partners and administration of best practices surrounding chargeback operations and associated policies, ensuring that the US Commercial Operations strategy is implemented. Candidates must have strong communication, technical, and organizational skills and be accountable for achieving key metrics.

The mission of the CoE is to enable commercial strategy and drive profitable sales growth by shifting our mind-set to being more “front office”, by exceeding customer needs and improving customer experience in the areas of customer contracting, analytics and sales operations, commercial enablement and customer data management.
This will be accomplished by standardizing, automating and integrating (CoE approach) as one company, driving data integrity and remaining agile to the evolving needs of customers and BD’s Go-to-Market corporate and BU strategies.
The CoE team will embrace industry leading capabilities, develop our talent and know- how, hold ourselves accountable to strong performance and operate by the highest values and culture of the company.
Key responsibilities will include:
Accountable for all aspects of the chargeback and sales trace process including submissions, resubmission processing, error resolution, and chargeback settlements for our top distributors
Responsible to manage the distributor resubmission process both internally and externally by the accurate tracking, monitoring, and communication of disputed lines for resolution within the predefined timelines
Performs business analytics and provide actionable reporting to assist in efficient and accurate chargeback processing and to identify large dollar issues for immediate resolution
Exercise appropriate controls to minimize disputed chargeback financial exposure and rebate reserves across all businesses
Collaborate with our Vistex IT partners to ensure the business requirements are supported while ensuring technology functionality and performance appropriately supports contracting activities
Complete training and remain current in tools and skills related to chargeback processing, internal control procedures, and SOX compliance
To be successful in this role, you require:
A minimum of a BA/BS degree
A minimum of 1 years’ experience in commercial contract and/or chargeback operations preferred, including distributor relationship management, continuous improvement, transactional contracting and/or chargeback technologies and/or related areas
General understanding of the end-to-end commercial contract operations management
Experience in ERP (SAP) and reporting (Business Intelligence) systems
Proficient technical skills in MS Excel solutions. MS Access preferred.
Strong communication and customercentric skills in order to adapt to customer needs while maintaining BD’s values
