Director, Digital Marketing--Channel and Content Strategy

Job Description Summary

The role of Channel and Content Strategy Leader will partner with segment and business marketing leadership to develop or mature their digital marketing strategy providing a clear roadmap that aligns with BDs multichannel marketing technology platforms. Planning will include activating audiences in target markets and recommending how to best leverage digital platforms to achieve commercial business objectives.

Job Description

This role will lead a team of 5-7 people to support BD's three segments, covering ten business units.

  • Leads team of associates to develop and deliver digital initiatives, lead ongoing management and optimization of marketing channels, including pre-campaign analysis and planning, campaign management, testing, post-campaign strategy and recommendations for future and continuous optimization.
  • Serves as architect of best-in-class campaigns and other digital initiatives
  • Supports segments and business units to identify best practices (competitive and B2B at large) in digital marketing.
  • Collaborates with Digital Creative Services team to define project objectives.
  • Conducts stakeholder interviews, brainstorming sessions and features and functionality workshops in support of digital strategies and execution.
  • Works with the BD Website and Digital Marketing Data Governance team to understand current technologies and roadmap of emerging behaviors, technologies in the market.
  • Interprets quantitative and qualitative insights from a variety of sources – Marcom Intelligence, Analytics, Customer Insights – and implements those best practices and fact-based insights into our digital marketing strategies.
  • Establishes targeting specific goals and KPIs, measuring performance and attribution across digital channels, marketing automation, CRM, and ERP (e.g. Adobe/Marketo, Salesforce, and SAP).
  • Help develop capabilities around the BD organization through training, sharing of best practices, etc
