As a member of the global marketing team for the Specimen Acquisition Business Line (SABL) in the Specimen Management Business Group, the Global Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategic direction, commercialization, general management, and financial performance of their respective product families. This individual will be a leader on SABL, working closely with the region marketers and functional leaders to develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve and exceed business unit objectives. In addition, this individual will lead strategic initiatives to support the long-term growth of SABL, potentially including but not limited to value proposition development, market shaping, marketing campaigns, and evidence generation. The Global Marketing Manager reports to the Director Global Marketing, Specimen Acquisition.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the general management of your product families, responsible for global commercial strategy, financial performance, demand and supply planning, budget management, and product line issue resolution as needed.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve and exceed business unit objectives for your product families worldwide. This will include analyzing market and customer information, identifying new product innovations, optimizing product portfolio, launching new products and line extensions, leading marketing campaigns, managing product lifecycles, conducting competitive assessments, developing pricing strategies and guidelines, etc.
  • Design and lead omnichannel marketing campaigns to drive commercial growth that address customers unmet needs using evidence generation and dissemination
  • Drive SABL growth by supporting commercial strategies outside product line responsibilities, linked directly to the long-term growth objectives for the business.
  • Effectively partner and collaborate with regional marketing and cross-functional leaders, including R&D, Medical Affairs, and HEOR to ensure the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and product strategy.
  • Develop and deliver annual global marketing and strategic plans, guiding regional marketing teams in the development of their plans.
  • Manage external relationships with vendors and be point of contact for any interactions, including status updates, scope of work management, tracking timelines, ensuring deadline deliverables, etc.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and Education

  • BS/BA in business or science. MBA is strongly desirable.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant marketing and/or commercial experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or other healthcare field with a consistent track-record of high performance and results.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and globally is preferred.

  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to help formulate and implement marketing and product strategies, convert these into tactical marketing plans, and deliver results.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to utilize organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to effectively negotiate and persuade others.
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for a wide variety of audiences.
  • Managerial courage to speak up when important information or questions must be raised and takes action when issues must be addressed.
  • Flexibility to travel globally to regions and customer sites at least 25% of the time.
