Manager, TGS Vendor Management

Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Director, Technology and Global Services (TGS) – Vendor and Contract Management, the Vendor Management Manager will manage the governance processes for certain strategic vendors within the Application Development (AD)/Application Management Organization (AMO). This includes contract development, preparing statements of work and other contract documents, issue resolution, governance escalation management, purchase order processing, management and tracking of the contract to payment process and coordination of vendor governance meetings. The Vendor Management Manager will also work with internal stakeholders to gain feedback and understand internal requirements for projects and services provided by the strategic vendors.

Reporting to the Director, Technology and Global Services (TGS) – Vendor and Contract Management, the Vendor Management Manager will manage the governance processes for certain strategic vendors within the Application Development (AD)/Application Management Organization (AMO). This includes contract development, preparing statements of work and other contract documents, issue resolution, governance escalation management, purchase order processing, management and tracking of the contract to payment process and coordination of vendor governance meetings.  The Vendor Management Manager will also work with internal stakeholders to gain feedback and understand internal requirements for projects and services provided by the strategic vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and manage service relationship capabilities to ensure partners are meeting their contractual obligations and delivering agreed upon SLA’s.

  • Lead and direct service & contract management team responsible for day to operations and to drive operational excellence with respect to service quality & performance, change management, contract management, risk and compliance management, financial management and relationship management.

  • Ensure suppliers are continuously seeking process improvement/productivity initiatives to present to the Core Areas of Delivery and Business Partners to enhance service delivery and align on strategic priorities.

  • Establish and execute stakeholder engagement model to enhance partnership with TGS.

  • Fosters a good team environment by maintaining positive working relationships and cultivating a partnership between suppliers and BDX.

  • Coordinate with Procurement and Legal to create and manage the SOW’s, Contracts, and Purchase Orders related to TGS strategic vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working with administration of complex commercial contracts and outsourcing contracts and governance processes

  • The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic understanding, outstanding supplier management experience, excellent relationship management experience, strong change management and communication skills and influencing skills .

  • 4+ years managing suppliers/third-party providers to effectively leverage capabilities, negotiate agreements, drive accountability and service performance

  • 4+ years leading and managing direct and indirect associates

  • Ability to facilitate strategic discussions and translate those into driving tangible metrics

  • Ability to communicate complex business / technical challenges in a simplified manner

  • Highly collaborative work style which includes working effectively globally and across all organizational levels

  • Demonstrates process improvement and innovative concepts

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed global organization and in overcoming ambiguity

  • Leading by example, mentoring, and motivating others all around you

  • Proven experience of managing / briefing other teams or third parties

  • Strong humility, listening, creativity, and negotiation skills

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, finance, or a related field is required.

  • PMP, Six Sigma, Lean trained and /or certified a plus.
