Summary:

The Sr. Manager Digital Marketing is responsible for creating and maintaining an online customer experience. He/she will need proficiency in web and multiple paid media channels, including advertising strategies, related tools/technologies, analysis, and optimization associated with Demand Generation efforts. This role requires a digital marketer who can evangelize and train others in our marketing organization about digital channels and ensure that digital channels are an integrated and optimized part of the marketing mix.

You will influence the definition and implementation of an online experience that will deliver a scalable, flexible, high performance solution for a broad range of products and customers.  
Success Criteria

Success is measured on the continual improvement of customer nurturing and retention as well as the increase in new prospects and sales. Success criteria include growth in traffic, engagement, share of voice, conversion, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team to establish a common set of standards, process and requirements for website.
  • Understand and integrate offline customer experiences into the online vision.
  • Set annual planning process and calendar for website changes / improvements; ensure that team delivers
  • Leverage content strategy to support and extend marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, using both pilots and analytics to determine which methods work and how to scale effectively. Continuous evolvement of online strategy is a must.
  • Responsible for being editor in chief of website content.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all digital channels.
  • Evaluate customer responsiveness to gauge content effectiveness. Gathering data and analytics to make recommendations based on those results. Working with content owners and SMEs to revise and measure against marketing goals.
  • Monitor competitors’ online presence (e.g. websites, social media channels, etc.)..
  • Focus on usability of website, using small improvements to drive adoption and loyalty.
  • Lead development, execution, management, and optimization of paid media strategies, as well as analysis, to drive demand generation across channels (SEM, Social, Display, and PMP)
  • Collaborate with team members/business partners to develop, execute, and measure multiple integrated digital marketing campaigns, aligned with business goals
  • Assist in the development and use of advanced data centric targeting capabilities to drive improvements in channel effectiveness
  • Leverage data to advance paid media strategies, track and report campaign and channel effectiveness, uncover relevant insights, and identify channel optimization opportunities to ensure highest possible return on spend
  • Develop and maintain accurate reporting, for marketing programs/campaigns, across all demand generation channels
  • Stay current and knowledgeable on new developments, trends, and technologies in the digital marketing and paid media space

Experience and Education Required

  • Digital experience at a Medical Device company preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of digital experience preferred. 
  • Ideal candidate would have a mix of education, marketing or communications and experience
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with creating compelling messages for different target demographics.
  • Experience in leveraging SalesForce.com a plus
  • Marketo: Marketing automation planning and configuration 
  • CMS (Ingeniux), website content management and updates.
  • SFDC: Reporting and evaluate leads and opportunities and manage campaign integration. 
  • Google Analytics to evaluate the source and medium for campaign performance.

Skills Required

The role requires a combination of a marketing and publishing mindset, with the most important aspect being to think “customer first”. Specific skills required include:

  • Proven editorial skills.
  • The ability to lead and inspire creative personnel and content creators to achieve company's stated goals.
  • Content creation both in long-form (e.g. web, blog) and real-time (e.g. forums, Twitter)
  • Demonstrated success in leading by influence in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaigns.
  • A willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly.
  • Basic technical understanding of HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java, web publishing, Flash, etc.
  • Fluency in web analytics tools
