In addition, it is highly desired that the candidate have experience with digital electronics design, packaging and design of embedded microprocessors and rechargeable batteries. The role will involve significant individual contribution and coordination with a multi-functional, agile R&D team.

In addition, it is highly desired that the candidate have experience with digital electronics design, packaging and design of embedded microprocessors and rechargeable batteries. Qualifications

Education:

B.S in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Applied Physics or a closely related discipline. 

Masters or PhD is preferred.

Experience

  • At least 7 years (10+ desirable) of experience as an Electrical Engineer designing both analog and mixed-signal printed circuit board assemblies
  • Hands-on experience with system-level hardware design, schematic capture and PCB layouts
  • Strong background in high-speed analog circuit design and direct experience with high-speed layout considerations
  • Experience with power supply design and in board level and module level signal integrity, power integrity, shielding and grounding
  • Experience with signal conditioning circuit design and through knowledge of circuit stability criteria, amplifiers, DACs and ADCs
  • Expertise in board bring up, use of lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, frequency analyzers, logic analyzers and digital multimeters
  • Previous direct experience with medical device design considerations, electromechanical and system-level integration including design, development and qualification
  • Experience developing hardware products within a structured development process such as Medical Devices and/or DoD.
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional team members to develop design artifacts, requirements and testing data and assist in system integration and troubleshooting. 
  • Experience with modeling, simulations, and sensitivity analyses desired.

  • Expertise in generating customer requirements and writing product requirements, specifications, test protocols, and test reports.
  • Working knowledge of international standards applicable to medical devices, including ISO13485, ISO14971, and IEC60601.
