Job Description Summary

Role reports to the Planning Manager and is responsible for planning assigned product families, master data, and inventory levels. Overall responsibilities are to develop, plan and coordinate production plans, customer delivery schedules while minimizing back orders and inventory in line with current business needs.

Overall responsibilities are to develop, plan and coordinate production plans, customer delivery schedules while minimizing back orders and inventory in line with current business needs. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Generate the Line Item Schedule and Master Production Schedule for assigned Product Groups in line with the current business needs.
  • Maintain sales orders, work orders and forecasts for assigned product groups.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
  • Work with manufacturing and leadership to determine capacity levels of assigned areas.
  • Assertiveness and results orientation are key competencies for this position.
  • Effectively manage and update Planning Parameters to have systems reflect requirements correctly. This requires a complete understanding of Time Series components and interactive cause and effect relationships.
  • Implementing continuous improvement opportunities such as demand pull systems and decreased cycle times through lean principles.
  • Develop partnering relationship with customer.
  • Understand GMP Regulations, especially as they relate to materials control in the manufacturing environment is essential. 
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong functional knowledge of planning inventory.
  • Extensive experience utilizing Excel and JD Edwards ERP Systems, or equivalent software. 

Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge:  

APICS certification preferred.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associates Degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with Materials/Inventory.
  • BA/BS Degree preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Work permits employee to remain seated with some fatiguing posture.
  • Occasional lifting between 1-5 lbs.

Work Environment:

Physical surroundings are pleasant and comfortable, with little or no exposure to injury or other health hazards.

Training Requirements:

On-the-job, SOPs required for position and GMP.
