Job Description Summary

This position exists to drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, Costs and People development. This position is responsible for GMP’s, high speed efficiency, process improvement, lean manufacturing, team development and overall production management to achieve Production objectives, quality standard, process yields and machine efficiencies. This position will also be responsible to achieve continuous improvement in production operations, waste reduction and resource utilization.

Communicates and supports the vision for BD Holdrege and creates a line of sight for each Associate. Fosters a trusting environment. Leads by example.

HOURS: 6:30pm - 3:30am; must be flexible to work first shift hours as needed

EDUCATION:  Four-year Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (engineering, business or related major) preferred or commensurate experience.

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum:  Two years of experience leading people in a structure environment, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Three years prior manufacturing supervision experience preferred.

SUPERVISION:  There will be supervision of others – 12-18 hourly associates

ACCOUNTABILITY:  Strategic and accountable for work of self and/or others in department

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:  To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty successfully. Management reserves the right to change any and all job descriptions without notice as business conditions dictate.  Must obey all safety programs, policies & regulations; must follow all GMP regulations; must cooperate fully with the safety and environment programs; may not pose a direct threat or significant risk to themselves or others must have regular attendance.
