Job Description

The Manufacturing Supervisor provides leadership and supervision of production team to ensure that quality, compliance, customer
service and cost goals are effectively implemented and support business objectives. Oversees daily
work functions and responsible for selection, development and recognition of the production and
facility staff.

Responsibilities include: production management, scheduling, material planning, facility maintenance, warehouse operations and product shipments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
• Plans, communicates and coordinates daily work activities of the manufacturing team and
supports departments to ensure timely and efficient completion of planned and unplanned work
activities.
• Ensures that all employees understand the Quality Policy, perform work that is compliant to
internal procedures and regulations and focus on assembling quality products for the end
customer.
• Creates weekly production schedules and monitors adherence to the plans to support product
demand and 100% service level to the end customer .
• Projects future production schedules and R&D requirements to calculate labor needs and proper
staffing levels.
• Interfaces with R&D and manufacturing engineers to integrate new product processes and
improve existing production processes.
• Responsible for the selection, training, development and recognition of existing and new staff.
• Develops a highly skilled and accountable staff through training, development, goal setting,
counseling and performance feedback. Maintains appropriate records in these areas.
• Maintains adequate records and data to properly measure quality, safety, cost and service level
performance of the manufacturing team. Provides performance reports to the management team.
• Identifies and implements process improvements that will improve quality and compliance and
reduce waste.
• Supports programs to ensure a healthy and safe working environment that complies with federal
and state regulations.
• Directs minor facilities development
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Operations Management preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years experience in manufacturing management position with a medical
device company required.

Must have excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop direct reports.

• Working knowledge of ERP system; Expandable knowledge preferred.
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
​​Specific experience in a Materials Management role preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high urgency environment while maintaining quality standards.

• Knowledge and application of Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies preferred, but not required.

Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.

Travel - Approximately 5-10% of work time will be spent traveling.

to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Occasionally the employee may be required
to lift or move at least 50 pounds.. The physical demands described here are representative of
