ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Lead, Demand & Supply Chain Planning
1.0 Material Planning
 Review item data and planning parameters in the system to ensure MRP reports are generated
accurately
 Review MRP report and material shortages report to ensure adequate material supply
 Review safety stock and re-order levels on timely basis to avoid material stock out situation
 Review RTSN report to ensure rejected material are addressed on a timely manner
 Review and manage slow moving inventory to minimize inventory exposure owing to excess
and obsolescence
 Continuously drive inventory management programs to meet inventory goals
2.0 Procurement
2.1 Sourcing
 Dual source initiatives to drive competitive pricing and supply assurance
 Source and establish supply base for new materials or components
 Partner with Regional and Global Sourcing Partner to drive cost down
year on year, to meet the PPV and CTW targets
2.2 Supplier Management
 Assume a lead role in Supplier Management Committee (SMC), working with a
cross functional team
 Lead SMC to review supplier performance and address supplier related issues
 Ensure full compliance to the respective standards on supplier management
2.3 Purchasing
 Develop purchasing strategy to obtain plant purchases at the most competitive
cost, consistent with approved quality and delivery standards
 Initiate purchasing programs to consistently drive down material cost, shipping
cost and lead time
 Partner with QA to ensure quality of procured items and addresses quality
issues when they arise
 Manage aging purchase order
 Involve in contracts negotiations with suppliers when necessary
 Drive purchasing team to meet the Inventory and PPV target, and comply to
procurement and purchasing policy

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION:
• Degree in Economics, Mathematic, Accounting or others related discipline.
• In the absence of a degree the candidate is expected to have at least 8–10 years
of experience in the related field.
• Certificate in CPIM will be an added advantage.


EXPERIENCE:
• > 5 years of working experience in Materials / Production Planning and Control

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Good communication skills – able to communicate at different levels.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
(mathematical skills, reasoning ability, physical dem ands, vision, physical condition, etc.)
• Good hands on knowledge of excel tools.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Self starter and results oriented.
