As the primary technical resource for the BD medication management solution sales force, HIT Consultants act as a Trusted Adviser/Subject Matter Expert who provides consultative and architectural expertise during the sales process. You will use your knowledge base to gain credibility with hospital IT and Informatics teams including the CIO to directly influence the technical buying preference.

What is expected of you for success in your role:

  • Ability to develop and continually engage C-Suite IT leaders to create executive sponsors
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of best practices in the healthcare industry and thorough knowledge of BD offerings
  • Accelerating the velocity and articulating the value for customers through compelling and relatable messages
  • Provide strategic vision by sharing roadmaps and timelines as well as solution specific technical requirements to align with identified hospital needs
  • Assume technical leadership role with sales executives for all networked and interfaced solution opportunities
  • Proactively engage organizations to collect data to interpret complex customer needs in order to recommend and propose specific BD solutions
  • Serves as an experienced communicator and collaborator with stakeholders (internal and external) to drive alignment on recommendations and proposed solutions
  • Work closely with Marketing and R&D to maintain the highest levels of technical expertise about current and future BD solutions
  • Perform demonstrations of solutions to educate and differentiate as part of the sales process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or proven equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years work experience with an emphasis on IT or Informatics leadership in a hospital or experience in a sales engineering role within a related healthcare organization
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Experience supporting a consultative sales approach
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Med Use/Administration Process
  • Customer service, problem solving and analytical skills required
  • Broad IT knowledge with past experience working with complex network, client/server, and application interface solutions
  • Previous experience working with and managing 3rd Party partnership relationships
  • Documented participation in industry thought groups and speaker engagements
  • Existing relationships with hospital IT leaders
  • Ability to travel 60% of time
