Job Title: National Clinical Sales Consultant Lead, BD HealthSight Infection Advisor

What is expected of you for success in your role?

  • Excels in healthcare sales support-oriented roles
  • Demonstrates comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of infection surveillance, prevention and reporting processes across the healthcare enterprise, especially those processes, practices, and workflows associated with receiving, organizing, analyzing and using clinical and operational information relevant to making informed infection prevention recommendations and completing related compliance reporting.
  • Demonstrates current state knowledge of the healthcare industry, and BD’s medication management and infection prevention solutions.
  • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of key clinical indicators used in evaluating and recommending optimized infection prevention strategies.
  • Deftly performs complex customer current state assessments, and creates compelling future state business case to meet customer’s strategic objectives/vision for the successful creation and maintenance of infection surveillance and prevention programs.
  • Is an experienced communicator and collaborator with stakeholders (internal and external) to drive alignment on recommendations and proposed solutions.  Dynamic speaking skills and excellent business writing skills required.
  • Demonstrates leadership by being customer focused, displaying critical thinking, having a global and company approach, focusing on results, skill growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Handles multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizes tasks based on organizational need and judgment, and handles working independently in remote office situations productively.
  • Comfortable with working with multiple unknowns and developing plans to address challenges as they arise


  • Provides clinical consulting support primarily for sales, but also marketing and development.
  • Collaborates and builds strong relationships with Sales Account Executive, CSC’s, Product Managers, Product Research and Development teams, Implementation & Support teams, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Training.
  • Monitors and reports progress toward established sales targets and provides recommendations for removing barriers to sales success and augmenting processes and practices that lead to success.
  • Stays active and engaged with important healthcare related organizations to stay abreast of healthcare trends and changes in Pharmacy/Nursing practice that impact our business or customers.  Acts as a leader with vision to readily share healthcare knowledge with internal and external customers.
  • Functions as the voice of the Customer.
  • Utilizes up to date knowledge of the healthcare industry to provide clinical input for new product development and software enhancements.


·Baccalaureate degree required; Advanced degree preferred

·Current licensure as a Registered Nurse preferred

·10-15 years of experience in an acute care hospital environment

·At least 5 years of experience as an infection preventionist, preferably across multiple hospitals

·Experience with crafting, operating and handling infection prevention programs designed to optimize infection prevention in terms of patient safety, efficacy, cost control, reporting and drug stewardship

·Up to 75% travel required, including nights and some weekends

·Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
