Job Description Summary
Responsible for ensuring production and auxiliary equipment is maintained to meet production goals. Responsibilities are multi skilled, which demonstrate competency in mechanical systems, electrical systems, motor controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and electronics. Responsibilities also include assisting maintenance personnel with daily tasks, ensuring completion of projects, and ensuring proper documentation of work performed.Job Description

SHIFT:3rd shift, Monday - Friday 10:45 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
This role is considered a temporary assignment, with benefits, beginning immediately and anticipated to end on 10/31/2024, subject to business conditions. If, at the end of that period, you have not obtained another position within BD, your employment will terminate and you will be eligible for severance benefits per the Severance Plan currently in effect.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot PLC’s, motor controls, electrical systems, electronics, and mechanical systems.
Lead maintenance personnel with the troubleshooting and repairing production equipment and plant utilities, as needed.
Use knowledge of craft to cross train other maintenance associates as directed.
Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Utilize technical manuals or bulletins, as well as blueprints in daily activities.
Write work orders.
Utilize analog and digital measuring equipment, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING/SKILL REQUIREMENT
To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate exceptional proficiency of the Electrical/Electronics skill set within the below listed crafts/specialties:
High school diploma/GED required
Technical degree preferred
Two (2) years experience preferred
The individual must have an understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, manufacturing processes, plant systems and equipment.
In addition, the individual will be required to work/train on skills and tasks outside their area of specialty.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required:
Mechanical
May be exhibited through internal certification, trade school certification, or documented Job experience
Hydraulics
Pneumatics
Electrical/Electronics
May be exhibited through internal certification, trade school certification, or documented Job experience
Electrician
Demonstrate ability to plan and implement electrical projects.
Working knowledge of National Electrical code requirements.
Ability to size and install hard wire control systems.
Electronics
Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and modify PLC programs in ladder logic.
Extensive knowledge of Allen Bradley component including 500 series and Control Logix.
