Perform general hands-on service and technical tasks including safety testing, troubleshooting and repairing, preventive/corrective maintenance on medical devices.
Opportunity for travel to regional and national accounts supporting hardware and software upgrades but no more than 25% of the time infrequently.

Works as a team to ensure medical equipment is processed and returned to customers/inventory in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical upgrades

  • Preventative Maintenance

  • Disassemble and reassemble medical devices

  • Troubleshooting of equipment

  • Provide feedback to customers (i.e.…cause of failure), corporate and quality teams to improve new and existing products.

  • Determine if a product complaint investigation is necessary.

  • Achieves or exceeds performance targets in order to satisfy customer demand.

Requirements:

  • Biomedical Technician/Engineer/Electronics Technician or Engineer A.A. in electronics or equivalent education in biomedical technology or equivalent military training or education.

  • Basic computer skills. Knowledge of basic Microsoft applications (word, excel etc…) and PDF files. Ability to log into networks and utilize data entry systems.

  • Communications and customer service skills with a strong attention to detail as there will be a need to log detailed failure reports into various systems.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, kneeling and some lifting of equipment may be required of up to 50 pounds.
