JOB SUMMARY:
The CTT Materials Management Coordinator acts as a key partner to the Custom Technology Team, Logistics/Distribution and Inventory Management by managing all inbound stock transport orders, procured goods, in-process, finished goods and retain inventory. The partner will drive inventory accuracy with routine cycle counts and discrepancy investigation in-line with documented processes. The CTT Materials Management Coordinator will initiate warehouse improvements as well as consistent review of the systematic warehouse, ensuring accurate inventories in line with overall business expectations. The partner will assist with business projects, develop process improvement recommendations as necessary and publish dashboard metrics as required.

The CTT Materials Management Coordinator acts as a key partner to the Custom Technology Team, Logistics/Distribution and Inventory Management by managing all inbound stock transport orders, procured goods, in-process, finished goods and retain inventory. The partner will drive inventory accuracy with routine cycle counts and discrepancy investigation in-line with documented processes. Will initiate warehouse improvements as well as consistent review of the systematic warehouse, ensuring accurate inventories in line with overall business expectations. Assist with business projects, develop process improvement recommendations as necessary and publish dashboard metrics as required to:

  • Maintain bulk inventories and integrity of paper and electronic records without direct supervision. Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions.

  • Plan and Conduct cycle counts of all bulk and retain inventories under control of Operations and CTT.  Investigate all material discrepancies that are outside of preset tolerances, and report findings to management and Finance when necessary

  • Provide material for the CTT Lab and other internal customers as directed by Production Planners or operations management without direct supervision

  • Maintain department material returns and scrap

  • Supports supply inventory analytics and review process

  • Lead implementation of all new and current department policies and procedures.

  • Write and update Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.

  • Monitor the “Warehouse Activity Monitor” for all failed movements.  Investigate and make corrections when necessary.

  • Analyze current departmental processes and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Create and update Departmental Metrics as required by Management

  • Assist in shipments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, statistical and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with procurement, logistics and production planning concepts (e.g., just-in-time, inventory optimization, materials requirement planning)

  • Ability to synthesize and communicate findings

  • Ability to work cross-functionally, with individuals at different organizational levels both internally and with external business partners

  • Discernment to recognize relevant data and variation

  • Project management skills

  • Previous ERP experience preferred

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal skills, as much work is cross-functional within the company

  • Self-directed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an inventory management/shipping/manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with continuous improvement tools (i.e. Lean / Six Sigma)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project
