As Privacy Analyst, and a member of the Privacy Operations Team, you will represent the first line of defense for all global businesses, functions and regions for requests concerning the delivery of privacy-related tasks and processes in line with the BD Privacy and Data Protection Program.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing analytical and operational support to the Head of Privacy Operations and acts as the intake for all technical and procedural requests across BD globally.

  • Monitor privacy dedicated e-mails for detection and escalation of requests and complaints from data subjects, privacy incidents and personal data breaches, as well as responding to requests for advice from BD Associates, contractors and third parties.

  • Provides operative support to maintain BD inventories of processing activities, IT applications, third parties and products.

  • Supports business stakeholders in conducting privacy assessments and contributes to remediation of identified gaps; implements Technical and Organizational Measures (TOMs) or escalates to BD Global Privacy LT members.

  • Represents the first line of defense for technical OneTrust requests and supports the OneTrust change management process.

  • Supports the Head of Privacy Operations in conducting trend analyses for of BD Associates and external customers, patients and those submitted by privacy authorities and regulators, and develops ad-hoc or regular reporting.

  • Develops standard tools, FAQs, training materials, content for the BD intranet web page which raises BD Privacy and Data Protection Strategy and Program awareness and facilitates the simplification and standardization of internal processes.

About you: To be successful in this role, you require:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree (undergraduate or professional degree in related specialty preferred).

  • Minimum three years of experience in a healthcare privacy compliance role, or equivalent experience with strong focus on GDPR and HIPAA.

  • Experience with OneTrust, and OneTrust certification is preferred.

  • Conducts business with a professional, collaborative approach that is proactive, solution oriented and forward thinking.

  • Exceptional communication, analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and resourcefulness.

  • IAPP certification(s) (CIPM, CIPP, CIPT), or ISO27001 certification(s), or ISACA Privacy Certification, strongly preferred.
