Summary
Manufacturing Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Manufacturing function.This role will be overseeing production of Infusion products.

Typical duties and expectations:

  • The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the oversight of the Infusion Product Focus Teams (PFT) made up of engineers, supervisors, and buyers that support the assembly and test of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, finished products and systems supporting the manufacturing process.
  • The Manufacturing Manager will manage a production unit to deliver production targets and projects against lowest cost, according to planning and quality requirements.
  • Collaborates with others and builds effective working relationships; negotiates to build broad-based support and/or persuades others in order to influence important outcomes.
  • Champions and leads change initiatives; identifies the best approach for implementing processes.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency while providing flawless transactions, services and products; manages financial assets and other resources to optimize cost effectiveness.
  • Directs and coordinates manufacturing activities supporting quality, on-time delivery, safety, inventory control, productivity, cost and regulatory compliance.
  • Reviews and manages production datametrics (i.e. production yields, budget, quality indicators, on time delivery, and part outages and reasons why) and performance to ensure adherence to the CareFusion Quality System.  
  • Management of key projects and initiatives supporting customer needs, quality improvements and cost reductions.
  • Guide and mentor the PFT with using proper lean/6 sigma tools in all problem solving situations.  
  • Select, develop and retain top talent. Focus on driving employee engagement and job satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • A minimum of 10+ years related manufacturing experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of management/supervisory experience
  • Experience with lean six sigma concepts/methods
  • Proven ability to lead team toward operational objectives
  • Aptitude to contribute to strategic goal-setting for department/business unit

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing and driving production teams and metrics. 
  • Experience in medical device or other regulated industry with QMS
  • MBA degree
  • High level of energy, initiative and results orientation
