Medication Management Solutions include Alaris® infusion technologies, as well as Pyxis® medication dispensing technologies with ADE surveillance system, Patient Event Advisor helps to reduce costs, improve care coordination and streamline medication use from our HealthSight™ integrated platform. Data can also be integrated from proprietary devices to help with efforts to protect medication types at all points of care.

Medication Management Solutions leverages Enterprise Software to allow healthcare providers to have access to better surveillance and analytics: The platform standardizes and simplifies systems and healthcare data across the enterprise to help improve decision making, efficiency and cost.

We are recruiting highly driven Project Controls Analysts with a desire to pursue a career in professional project management. Project Controls Analysts have accountability to work with Program Managers who are leading complex new product development projects to manage project cost and schedule, including budget, forecast, commitments, accruals, Work-In-Place, milestones, WBS, critical path, progress, risks, contingency, and KPI’s.

Depending on the skills and work experience of the candidate, the trajectory of the position can evolve into a project manager position. The Project Analyst Role is considering the starting position within BD’s professional program management career path. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with program, portfolio and functional management teams to develop improve product development predictability
  • Manage project cost and schedule, including budget, forecast, commitments, accruals, Work-In-Place, milestones, WBS, progress, critical path, risks, contingency, and KPI’s
  • Work with Program and Functional Managers to forecast and reconcile resource and budget allocations for active development projects
  • Update and progress the project schedule while maintaining logic to the master control schedule
  • Coordinates and tracks multiple key projects and tasks.
  • Maintains resource loaded and fully linked project schedules that can be utilized to analyze resource allocations, completion dates and critical path
  • Manage the project change control process and maintain the schedule baseline and current budget to reflect approved changes
  • Provide monthly project status report (cost, schedule and risk mitigation)
  • Conduct accrual analysis and coordinate with payment processing teams to track the status of vendor payments
  • Execute the project completion close out process, including closing contracts, finalizing schedule, and reconciling schedule/cost performance against baseline
  • Ensure effective and efficient regular formal and informal communications with the Program and Portfolio Management and NPD Core Teams using a variety of tools and channels
  • Ensures compliance with the company's global innovation and product development processes

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field with a minimum of 2–years relevant experience managing and analyzing cost and schedule for multi-project hardware and software product development core teams.
  • MBA with a strong focus on technology commercialization is a plus
  • Experience managing cross functional new product development core teams in Med Tech industries with capital hardware and IaaS / SaaS software solutions is preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience developing, managing and analyzing cost and schedule on multi-project  hardware and software product development core teams
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Planview
  • Experience communicating financial status and schedule details from multiple businesses to project managers
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence people and teams at all levels without direct authority
  • Proven success building employee engagement; creating, communicating and building understanding of a shared project vision
  • Highly motivated, dynamic and customer-centric individual who thrives in a challenging and changing environment  
  • Demonstrated strategic agility with strong analytical decision-making skills
  • Sound business acumen and financial performance knowledge
  • Exceptional critical thinking and change management skills
  • Demonstrated prioritization and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience navigating self and teams in cross-functional environments and/or matrix organizations.
  • Requires polished presentation skills to executive leadership level - representing self and Portfolio Group with an executive presence.  
  • Must possess exceptional written and oral communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of and experience in structured product development processes.
  • Effective meeting management and group facilitation skills.
