Job DescriptionAs the Senior Engineer in Software Quality Engineering, you will be a member of our Connectivity team and be responsible for the test automation development and overall quality of testing for the BD Infusion Device Connector product. You will play a vital role in the development of software test automation for the connector service. And you will be responsible for creating and broadening the existing keyword framework and working with your fellow SDETs in enhancing our test automation effort to deliver quality centric V&V (Verification & Validation) testing

Responsibilities of this role:
Developing and executing test plans, automation, and formal verification activities.
Work in a scrum-based agile development process which plans, and builds features targeted to a release.
Help in timely execution and delivery of product design verification and integration for compliance with applicable safety, security, and quality standards and procedures.
Champion continuous improvement in quality and operational excellence by establishing testing strategy and quality metrics.
Define, promote, and implement the strategic direction of test automation and an overall approach to test management, design, and automation to deliver with increased cadence without compromising quality or safety.
Provide guidance for product test strategies, selection of tools, and adoption of best CI practices. Helping the teams “shift-left” to reduce quality and integration issues.
Work with managers, Team leads, POs, PMO to improve practices
Contribute to a team culture that values quality, robustness, and scalability while fostering innovation
To be successful in this role, you require:
Experience in testing and scalable distributed microservices based systems.
Able to create test scenarios, test cases, and bug reports.
Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304) is desired.
Knowledge of C#, .NET, Java or other object-oriented programming languages. C# knowledge is preferred. (Experience with Java, JavaScript, React a plus)
Experience with scripting and automation languages and toolsets (MS Test, NUnit, TestNG, Selenium WebDriver, etc.)
Experience in designing test automation to support CI/CD pipeline for software delivery.
Experience working with Azure DevOps, Jira, other requirements, and test management tools.
Knowledge of modern web development and cloud technologies. (Azure preferred.)
Some travel may be involved as part of this role where prior notice will be given.
Good to Have:
Knowledge on testing backend services
Experience working with Kafka, Redis, SQL, Helm charts and Kubernetes
Ability to find bottlenecks and thresholds in existing code with the help of automation tools
Understanding of Object-Oriented Design
Education and experience required:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in an engineering field.
5+ years of experience in various elements of full-stack software testing and automation.
