Sr. Technical Product Marketing Manager, Pyxis IV Prep (REMOTE OPTIONAL)

Marketing and Product Management is responsible for defining the market strategy, including product offering, pricing, positioning, distribution and promotion to drive the overall success of the business.
Pyxis IV Prep is a key component of this MMS offering, allowing customers to manage their compounded medications safely and effectively. A combined hardware and software solution, Pyxis IV Prep is designed to simultaneously minimize errors while improving efficiency using real-time gravimetric and barcode verification in tandem with a step-by-step guidance system.
The Sr. Technical Product Marketing Manager will help ensure that the Pyxis IV Prep offering meets current and future needs of the market in an optimal way by driving solution development according to customer requirements and market trends. This role is expected to work with cross-functional teams (including Program Marketing, Development, Software Quality and Requirements Engineering) to translate roadmap requirements to an operational plan and to ensure appropriate execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate advanced understanding and experience in product/ market management, specifically an expertise in acute care and non-acute care pharmacy operations, including automation and workflows.

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of healthcare information technology capabilities in the context of medication management, especially with respect to software and interfacing.

  • Pursue and investigate market trends and opportunities that impact customer needs and requirements.

  • Translate market and customer requirements into development requests and User Stories– often through direct customer interactions and validation efforts – and collaborate with R&D organization to prioritize development needs and product deployment execution plans.

  • Develop and maintain feature prioritization frameworks that incorporate customer impact, business priority and development complexity

  • Ability to understand and prioritize customer reporting needs from an operational and regulatory lens

  • Collaborate with R&D in managing near-term roadmap and product deployment execution

  • Support commercial teams in effectively and accurately communicating key product features and customer value to prospective customers

  • Assess financial implications, including profitability and viability, for complex product/market portfolios or segments that have significant organizational impact.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in complex situations to support multidisciplinary teams.

  • Demonstrate experience assessing market dynamics, competition, business risks and opportunities, and providing leadership in these areas through the organization.

  • Communicate effectively and work extremely well with complex multidisciplinary teams; work collaboratively across all functions of the organization to ensure successful product development, market launch, and development.

  • Lead cross-functional team to support release of software, tools and databases

  • Act as a leader and a key contributor in a complex environment, demonstrating a high level of influence to the organization.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of go-to market needs to ensure successful product rollout and commercial excellence.

  • Collaborate on the creation and maintenance of documentation (including Target Product Profile through release files) to support our internal teams and customers.

  • Provide leadership to technical and non-technical members of extended team, including change management understanding and support.

  • Must be able to manage expectations and possess excellent organizational skills with the flexibility to readily adapt to change.

  • Be willing to travel 30%.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 8-12 years of experience in the pharmacy/healthcare automation space, ideally in product marketing and/or engineering or related field.

  • Experience developing and launching software, hardware, integrated systems, and/or mobile solutions desired.

  • Pharmacy management experience or training preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with a strong preference for degrees in Marketing, Business, and Industrial Engineering; MBA preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • SQL custom reporting experience/knowledge highly desired.

  • Must have excellent communication, presentation and writing skills (e.g., responsive, persuasive, and polished) and be comfortable communicating across various levels of stakeholders.
