BD Biosciences, the leading provider of antibody reagents to the research immunology community, is seeking a highly motivated, innovative and organized Supervisor to contribute to our Life Science Research Reagent Line Extension team. Leading a product development team, this individual will be responsible for the release of new antibody reagents to meet product commitments. This role requires in depth knowledge of flow cytometry, Immunology, dyes/fluorochromes and instrumentation as well as an ability to guide direct reports to execute time-bound deliverables.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for delivery of new antibody reagents to support the BD product portfolio
Design, perform, analyze, and troubleshoot flow cytometry experiments
Critically analyze and interpret data. Provide feedback and guidance to other team members and teams based on the data.
Clear and concise presentation of data in timely manner
Lead, develop engage and provide direct supervision to associates within the team
Prepare management reports including summaries of progress against objectives.
Represent the team at cross-functional meetings
Managing multiple and varied projects with deliverables to multiple business functions
Promoting a safe work environment. Offer recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a Master's Degree in life sciences with 6 years’ experience in reagent development or a Ph.D with at least 4 years' experience.
Previous lead or supervisory experience is stongly preferred.
Minimum of 6 years’ experience designing, performing, and analyzing flow cytometry experiments, preferably on BD flow cytometers (LSRII, LSRFortessa, Canto, Aria)
Knowledge and Skills:
Developed organizational, time management, and planning skills to efficiently manage multiple projects necessary.
Effective interpersonal skills, must be able to work in a cross-functional team-oriented environment to achieve organizational goals.
Strong general laboratory skills.
Strong understanding of flow cytometry principles and instrumentation.
Strong experience with Flow Cytometry Data analysis (FACSDiva and FlowJo).
Demonstrated excellence in oral, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated analytical problem solving.
Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
