Job Description Summary
This position will function within the Quality Assurance group.The QA Inspector will ensure that inspection of materials/products is conducted thoroughly/accurately in accordance with specified requirements. Inspection work includes; dimensional measurements, documentation/quality record review, visual inspection, etc.
The QA Inspector reports quality failures encountered during inspection, verbally & in writing per the Quality Notification Reporting procedure.
The QA Inspector is expected to use training, experience, and basic knowledge of quality control concepts, practices and procedures. Works under general supervision.
Quality Assurance strives to live the BD values as part of an action-oriented team focusing on customer requirements and process effectiveness through continuous learning, influencing of others, and dedication to achieving the highest quality results.
The QA inspector performs all activities with extreme care. The daily tasks performed by this position are critical to the assurance of quality produced product.

Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs documentation verification (material certification, supplier’s inspection result, Engineering Change Order, Engineering Drawings/material specifications, etc.) & visual inspection of incoming excess materials returned from the field ensuring that materials meet the current acceptance criteria prior to releasing to inventory. Performs documentation and visual inspection of repaired customer property ensuring that all required repairs were completed & test result shows that the product passed all acceptance criteria prior to releasing the product to shipping. Quality records attached to ServiceMax Database.Completes inspection results recording in SAP, ensuring that data entries are correct & supporting records are uploaded completely. Monitors, maintains, & keeps an organized QA inspection shelf. Receives and logs Excess materials receipts daily, & assigns/place them on a designated location. Prioritizes daily workload assignments to ensure timely completion. Completes ADP Timesheets entries accurate and timely. Responds with sense of urgency when dealing with code 1’s, and other immediate need in support of production or field service engineers. May act as a peer reviewer where applicable & must conduct this task thoroughly. May support as needed, the calibration & incoming inspection dept. Supports and contributes to the attainment of the department/business goals. Interacts effectively with peers and internal and external customers - Engineers, Purchasing, Supplier, Planners, Manufacturing Associates, etc. Is proactive in search of opportunities for process improvements. Monitors changes to applicable procedures and completes training in a timely manner. Keeps current on C2C training requirements for compliance in own area of work and complies with those requirements. Support training activities within the department. Have the initiative in obtaining the necessary training needed for the assigned task, ensuring that training has been documented/recorded prior to performing tasks. Must communicate professionally, verbally and in writing. Participates as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work. Brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management. Follows BDIS Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures. Takes responsibility for safety in immediate work area. Participates in EH&S programs. Notifies supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment. May work on other special projects as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Experience in performing the duties/responsibilities described above.
- Must have a strong attention to detail & ability to follow procedures, and good oral and written communication skills.
- Have a very good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Ability to multi-task, resourceful, completes assignments without delay
- Must possess good problem solving skills
- Understands GD&T principles.
- Must be good in mathematical calculations
- Good organizational and prioritization skills
- Team-oriented with commitment to the success of the team and organizational goals to track and complete assignments.
- Adaptive, collaborative, agile
- Computer literate with basic knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Windows, etc.
- Experience working under GMP, or ISO 9000 environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years’ experience working as Quality Assurance Inspector (or equivalent)
