Position Summary:

For this position, we are seeking high-caliber talent in the US regional marketing function that shares our passion for excellence. We seek highly innovative and hardworking individuals motivated to drive commercial and marketing excellence within this solutions portfolio.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Marketing US Region, the Senior Product Manager – Research Instruments will manage the entry to mid parameter research cell analyzers, and the entry-level research cell sorter product lines. The incumbent will oversee their portfolio’s financial performance through comprehensive and timely Marketing and portfolio strategy development and execution.

  • Regional Financial Targets for assigned portfolio

  • Go-to-Market readiness

  • Lead Generation/Advertising

  • e-Commerce integration

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Accountable for commercial readiness activities to ensure successful product launch, including customer transition planning and forecasting

  • Develop a regional marketing and related launch plan for the assigned product platform that defines "where to play, and how to win," including market development, evidence generation, marketing communications, pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and customer-facing associate training

  • Provide input to the regional marketing plan development. Ensure a plan that supports completion of and is aligned with BDX 2025 goals.

  • Develop content and strategies for promotional materials and programs, including sales aids, advertising, digital campaigns, and external events, while closely collaborating with the Marketing Communications team

  • Develops and executes market development programs and engagements

  • Effectively partner with US sales to ensure maximum penetration of market segments

  • Organize and execute appropriate training and direction to sales and applications teams

  • Champion customer targeting strategy for assigned portfolio and actively participates in customer-facing activities, as needed, to accelerate customer capture

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Scientific Discipling or Business/Marketing; MBA preferred

  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience in a marketing, strategy, or related function within Life Sciences, Healthcare, Medical Device and/or related industry

  • Proven track record in marketing, including: identifying Market Opportunities, Market Segmentation, Targeted Marketing, Customer Insight Gathering, Competitive Analysis, Pricing Strategy and Go to Market models and strategies

  • Cell analysis/Flow cytometry experience is preferred

Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Proven ability to effectively prioritize while routinely working on multiple tasks with multiple people

  • Ability to collaborate and work with others in a dynamic, matrix environment

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical and non-technical associates

  • Intuitively and quickly assess people and situations and act accordingly

  • Demonstrate solid persuasion and negotiation capabilities

  • Strong customer focus

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, experience with SAP, Marketo, Salesforce.com or Power BI a plus

Job Specific Requirements:

  • 15-20% travel (domestic)
