Inspection Specialist (Night)
Job Description SummaryThe Inspection Specialist – DMT l reports directly to an assigned Operations Leader and is responsible for material handling, conducting light product inspection and housekeeping activities for an assigned set of injection molding presses to supply downstream equipment with quality molded components, seeking assistance from technicians for any issues.
The primary responsibilities of the DMT1 are to inspect parts as they come off a machine, document results, label and package the parts, and then send them to the next department. Cleaning and organizing the areas as needed.

This is a night shift position. (Shifts B or D)
12 hour rotating shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Scheduled to work 7 days in a 14 day period (2 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off. Every other weekend is scheduled off.)
**We pay a shift differential for the night shift!**
Packaging, labeling, and handling of product and movement to specified locations.
Perform limited product visual and Manual inspections.
Learn and maintain knowledge and understanding of all products produced in the department, as well as all product quality specifications.
Keep machinery, work area and floors neat and orderly and follow good manufacturing practices requirements.
Work effectively in a team with limited supervision.
Understand and interpret controlled documents including work Instructions, procedures, and inspection forms.
Notify CILL, and DMT II’s of any equipment issues.
Work with molding team members to keep equipment running during breaks and callouts.
Follow all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.
High School Diploma or GED required.
6-12 months previous professional work experience (in a related or unrelated field) required, manufacturing experience a plus.
Prefer, but not limited to 0-1 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably injection molding presses (both electric & hydraulic).

Bending, stooping and reaching.

Lifting requirements: may occasionally be required to lift up to 20 lbs, frequently lift up to 10 lbs, occasionally pulling/pushing up to 30 lbs, frequently pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs, frequently carry up to 5 lbs.
Almost always have exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, and potential temperature fluctuations.
