Job Description Summary
Under the supervision of Manufacturing Manager, you will
- Manage all material shortages for assigned program in working closely with Purchasing/Planners/Logistic/Manufacturing to ensure supply continuity to keep production lines running.
- Responsible in strategizing and controlling material to meet inventory goals
- Responsible in working with logistic warehouse and production in the materials movement, planning and expediting to support customer
- Responsible in performing regular stock check and Annual Physical Inventory count
- Manage a team of materials handlers performing various jobs, tasks, or duties to support the manufacturing activities while ensure proper production procedures are followed.
- To be proficient in SAP transactions and be able to coach others
Responsibilities

- Ensures that acceptable quality is maintained for production processes and that all cGMPs, and ISO regulations are met for his/her area of responsibility.
- Safety and ISO14001 Environmental accountability. Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally-friendly workplace by observing Company’s rules and procedures. Active involvement in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards and participation in activities which promotes recycling, replacement and reduction of resource materials.
- Safety & health accountability:Safety and health are important to BD and we encourage the observance of all safety programs and training assigned to you.Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance to our safety guidelines and SOPs.
- Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) accountability: Observing GMP rules and procedures.
- Observe BD Code of Ethics.
- Lead/Participate in various continuous improvement initiative / activities to minimize waste and reduce shop floor inventory
Requirements
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in manufacturing environment production/material planning
- Prior experience with SAP
- Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in any Engineering/Materials Management Disciplines
- LEAN/Six Sigma experience preferred
- Good communication & coaching skills
- Provides direct and indirect supervision to assigned non-exempt personnel.
- Accountable for the Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance of Function and the associated team objectives.
- Accountable to ensure that assigned team members are developed individually as well as collectively as a team
- Accountable for to ensure all assigned operational initiatives are fulfilled timely
