WW Product Manager, Point-of-Care MDx

Job Description Summary

The WW Product Manager will work closely with the WW Sr. Marketing Manager on upstream and downstream marketing deliverables to ensure the achievement of key marketing functional goals at a product line level. Influences the development and drives the execution of product line plans; contributes to WW product development and strategy; provides significant input into product line-related business decisions and resource planning; plays critical role in key initiatives, leading project teams, supporting product launches and training, including marketing core team member on product development core teams. Demonstrates product management expertise through specific and advanced set of skills and knowledge, e.g., product development, forecasting, planning, market development and go to market models.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Participates as a Marketing Core Team Member on cross-functional core teams including GPDS projects and programs, delivering the marketing leadership and support needed to the relevant projects
  • Contributes to all components of the WW marketing plans for assigned products to ensure upstream market sensing, market shaping and development and launch planning
  • Works with regional teams and develops global launch and market readiness plans
  • Supports the launch of new products, including management of the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Responsible for forecasting: sales analysis and implementation updates. Manages the demand planning process
  • Supports global pricing function for assigned product lines
  • Conducts appropriate market analysis and competitive product research to provide information on market segmentation, market share, and customer requirements
  • Continuously monitor and analyze product and market trends and propose recommendations.  Maintain external and internal customer focus to ensure appropriate market insights and voice of customer in development projects
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including regional counterparts
  • Ensures compliance with BD policies, procedures, and practices, including serving as point-person in marketing communication copy approval process

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. in a Life Sciences discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  MBA preferred
  • Knowledge of the molecular diagnostic market and/or Point-of-Care market preferred
  • Upstream, early development marketing experience preferred
  • High level of self-motivation and business results orientation
  • Minimum of 4 years of commercial experience, preferably in a biotechnology or life sciences industry. Commercial experience may include marketing, sales, sales training, business development or other related function
  • Experience in product and/or market management, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated track record in identifying Market Opportunities, Market Segmentation, Targeted Marketing, Competitive Analysis, Pricing Strategy and Go-to-Market models and strategies
  • General knowledge of the Life Sciences market as well as the sales, operations, and marketing functions is required. Scientific and technical knowledge with the ability to understand and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial to drive revenue growth
  • Effective interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication; demonstrated abilities in organization, prioritization and planning, goal setting, analytical and problem solving
