POSITION PURPOSE

Liberator Medical Supply, a subsidiary of BD, is seeking a Sr. Staff Software Engineer, Salesforce to lead development of solutions which enable our teams to make accurate customer-first decisions at every level, at the speed business demands. The ideal candidate has passion for digital technology, analytics and digital marketing in the role of Software Engineering and Marketing Technology. The ideal candidate is an agile practitioner, fosters teamwork, and can build strong interpersonal relationships with the technology team, leadership, and stakeholders with a focus on building the right functionality in the right order and helping overcome obstacles. This is a highly visible, business impacting position. The successful candidate must be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and naturally curious with the ability to improvise and develop creative solutions when common approaches fail. The candidate possesses a strong value of pragmatism over idealism in times of uncertainty with a perpetual curiosity and passion for honing your craft.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deeply understand and drive toward the business goals and intended customer outcomes

  • You will be responsible for managing a team of analysts, developers, and drive delivery of the projects.

  • Provide Salesforce subject matter expertise and assessments to business stakeholders and team members.

  • Good knowledge of Salesforce technologies offering best practice advice and recommendations to the team on system architecture and technical design.

  • Contribute to the Salesforce strategic vision and roadmap for the evolution of Salesforce within BD.

  • Demonstrated experience with advanced Salesforce.com development tools and techniques, e.g. Apex language, Force.com custom development, triggers, controllers, JavaScript, Force.com SOAP and REST APIs, JSON, sObjects, SOQL, SOSL, Chatter API, UI API, outbound messaging, Lightning Components and Visualforce pages.

  • Identify technical risks on your projects and help implement a mitigation plan.

  • Assist in the incorporation of DevSecOps principles into the development ecosystem, partnering with peer areas

  • Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.

  • Must be comfortable taking appropriate steps to protect PHI/PII/PCI.

ANCILLARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership, direction, and strategy for a growing team while owning and leading platform modernization efforts

  • Implement reliable and scalable automation solutions using out of box thinking, delivering high quality user experiences

  • Drive and enable teams to establish and progress toward key metrics to measure success—i.e. key performance indicators (KPIs) and/or objectives and key results (OKRs)

  • Align as a trusted advisor and strategic team member to understand business challenges and assist in strategically planning future business capabilities by leveraging best-in-class technology solutions

  • Collaborate across peer groups to help drive organizational improvements and operational excellence

  • Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, product roadmaps, and applications available from 3rd parties on the Salesforce AppExchange

  • Measure, monitor, and ensure the health of the production systems

  • Ensure healthcare information security best practice controls are in place and they adhere to HIPAA utilizing a common control framework (i.e. NIST, HITRUST CSF)

  • Ability to estimate resourcing and costs, supporting business cases, and high-level program plans

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

  • 5+ years' experience in Salesforce Administrators & Developers and implementations.

  • 5+ years' experience integrating external systems and applications into Salesforce.

  • 5+ years' experience with vendor management.

  • 5+ years’ experience in data management.

  • Experience with DevOps process related to Salesforce

  • Excellent communication skills & ability to lead cross-functional stakeholder conversations.

  • Experience Cloud, Health Cloud, Mulesoft preferred.

Skills:

  • Analytical—the individual synthesizes complex or diverse information.

  • Problem solving—the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

  • Oral communication—the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts productive meetings.

Licensure or Certifications required:

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer 1,

  • Salesforce Platform App Builder,

  • Salesforce Administrator is a plus.
