Supply Chain and Procurement Analyst

Job Description Summary

This position analyzes, plans, tracks, and reports on all assigned products to meet established customer service goals and product volumes consistent with specific inventory and/or contractual obligations and objectives. Coordinates the movement of product through external suppliers. Monitors and plans as necessary to assure schedules are met and divisional inventory levels are maintained. Responsible for conducting analysis to support various inbound and outbound supply chain initiatives.

Job Description

  • Utilizes raw data and/or reporting software to build and design both standard and ad hoc reporting to meet the needs of the department
  • Creation and ongoing maintenance of demand reporting  providing visibility of ordering requirements that are sent to 3rd party suppliers.
  • Complete analyses in a timely fashion and communicate any roadblocks that may hinder timely delivery of data
  • Providing demand forecasting aligned to sales projections
  • Elevating and validating data with strong critical thinking for Min-Max recommendations
  • Performing analyses to assist in new business development
  • Implementing processes and procedures to assist in inventory control
  • Synthesizes complex or diverse information.
  • Problem solving, identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner and gathers the analyzes information skillfully.
  • Supporting company in ways helpful to ensure month-end, quarter-end, and year-end goals are met
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned or directed

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; two to five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

  • Language:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical supply publications, technical procedures, and sales training tools.  Ability to write some external business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, team members, and/or customers.
  • Math: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.  Ability to apply intermediate math skills.
  • Reasoning:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variety of variables.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer: Knowledge of Word processing software, Excel, Access and/or other database software.
  • Reporting Analytics: Routine and ad hoc reporting and analysis of the following information/areas:

a.    Inventory

b.    Cost of goods reporting
c.    Vendor and contract analysis

  • Telecommunications: Ability utilize or knowledge of call center telecommunications software (i.e. dialer systems)

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee performs tasks in a temperature-controlled office environment under normal office conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  The work environment involves minimal exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
