Job Description Summary

Reports directly to the Quality Leader. Directly monitors, inspects, and audits the process and product for compliance to specifications, assures integrity of process control systems and detects trends in product quality where applicable.

Job Description

  • Must possess the ability to perform various testing procedures and simple statistical analysis.
  • Perform complete inspection of product prior to release according to applicable specifications
  • Responsible for signing the release documentation where applicable for raw material or finished goods product prior to a warehouse or shipment transfer from its designated department.
  • Compile and reviews the release documentation for all lot device history records prior to submitting such material to supervision for final approval
  • Apply appropriate statistical sampling plan
  • Stat sample all hold products as applicable per the appropriate specification requirements.
  • Record the results of inspections and audit findings on the appropriate forms and/or in the Quality Module of SAP.
  • Report all product nonconformance issues to the Quality Leader/Superintendent, Quality Operations/ Lead Person, and Production Supervisor where appropriate.
  • Must possess knowledge of Quality System Regulations and control charting defect trends in product quality.
  • Train new hire inspectors to inspect product per the appropriate specifications, and utilize all gauges/ equipment pertaining to Quality Assurance testing.
  • Maintains adherence to all safety, environmental and quality system standards.
  • Must perform duties across all lines and maintain knowledge to conduct inspections and tasks among all manufacturing departments. 
  • Perform all other miscellaneous duties as appropriately directed by Quality Management or designate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • 6-12 months of experience directly monitoring process flow and inspecting parts

  • Extensive knowledge of Quality System Regulations

  • 6-12 months of experience working in the Quality Module of SAP
