Primary focus of position is chromatographic analysis, dissolution analysis, and wet chemistry of incoming materials and drug products. This includes following SOPs to perform routine lab functions such as in process and finished product testing for research and development and manufacturing operations.  Assist with method development and validation activities to support product development activities.  Plan and execute test method revisions. Document results and data entry as required by cGMP. Review raw data and reports.  Perform routine equipment maintenance and maintain lab supplies.  Provide input to procedure change control and assist in drafting documents as required.   

Responsibilities:

  • Support project teams for analysis of pharmaceuticals and products within a cGMP lab environment.

  • Perform analytical testing in support of ongoing R&D and process development projects.

  • Revise test methods for line extensions.

  • Review raw data and reports, perform data integrity review

  • Support product failure analysis activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related discipline

  • 1-3 years of directly related experience in a pharmaceutical industry in analytical development and CMC drug development within an FDA/QSR and ISO environment, or equivalent preferred

  • Experience in analytical techniques, including chromatography, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry

  • Experience in cGMP

  • Must demonstrate strong communications skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to manage/prioritize high volumes of analysis requests

  • Consistent attention to detail

  • Aptitude for experimental design and problem solving

  • Ability to work independently, as well as on teams

Preferred Qualifications: (Optional)

  • Experience in analysis of pharmaceutical products

  • Knowledge of statistics and designed experiments

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to manipulate tools, controls and office equipment.  Work may involve continuous computer use with repetitive motion to wrists, hands and fingers.  The employee frequently is required to see, talk and hear.  The employee is occasionally required to bend, lift, reach or stoop.  In addition, the employee must have visual acuity and color perception to conduct clean-room and laboratory duties.  Employee must be able to wear personal protective equipment.  Inability to meet one or more of these physical demands will not automatically disqualify a candidate or employee from the position.  Upon request, the company may make reasonable accommodations.
