Job Description SummaryThe Product Engineers are responsible for support, triage, and remediation where possible of customer reported application and data integrity issues. The Principal Engineer, Application and Data Support will be responsible for troubleshooting complex technical issues reported by our customer to determine if the underlying cause is application or data integrity related and then to act on trying to remedy those issues where possible. Principal Engineers are also responsible for collaborating with upstream and downstream teams related to investigation updates, findings, and possible remediations related to customer issues. The Principal Engineer assists with ongoing refinement of workflow related to the handling of customer issues and how most efficiently and effectively collaborate and integrate with other teams involved in the support process. This position will also be required to work with their clinical counterparts, software engineers, sales and other BD teams to resolve customer issue to the customer's satisfaction and provide management reports on findings.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
The role requires knowledge of SQL with the ability to troubleshoot queries and stored procedures.
Participate in the process to prioritize customer tickets as well as the troubleshooting process.
Strong ability to fix and document application issues as well as ability to work with customer to discover possible solutions while the underlying issue is being resolved.
Prioritize efforts based on alignment with business goals, strategic direction, and timelines.
Collaborates across solution groups to ensure common process and seamless integration.
Participate in collaborative efforts of multi-functional teams that may include members of various functions such as R&D, field operations, regulatory, quality clinical, sales, and user experience design to ensure proper integration solutions are implemented.
Understands and can apply customer, technical, regulatory considerations with appropriate parties to identify the drivers leading to customer application and integration issues.
Evaluates alternative solutions/decisions considering the potential impact on the internal/external customer; understands the resource implications of solutions and makes customer-focused recommendations that highlights quality.
This role will be expected to perform hands on troubleshooting and performance optimization.
Has in-depth functional expertise and broad knowledge of database, application, and integration products and methodologies.
Ability to utilize analytical skills to participate in efforts to comprehensively analyze and interpret policies, procedures and situations in a multifaceted way and possess strong problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions to complex issues.
Ability to take ownership of job-specific documentation of work, and ability to mentor others to do the same.
Ability to adhere to procedural and/or regulatory requirements for Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as well as the ability to review work of team members who are assigned similar data types to ensure that the technical output of the team conforms to best practices and standards.

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
3+ years relevant experience working with support of SAAS based applications.
ETL or similar processes (both batch and real time loading) required, experience with ETL with healthcare clinical data preferred.
SQL knowledge required with ability to demonstrate skills with reviewing stored procedures to troubleshoot application issues.
HL7 experience preferred.
Working knowledge of integration principles and its application in solving standard and non-standard technical problems and have ability to identify trends and underlying problems.
Coding and code troubleshooting knowledge required in one or more relevant platforms: Angular, SQL, .NET, C#, or similar coding platforms.
Ability to convey complex technical information to a variety of levels within the organization.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Personal characteristics: personable, detail-oriented, critical problem solver, self-motivated, enthusiastic, resourceful, customer-focused and interested in mentorship of other team members.
