The Advanced Repair and Reconstructive (ARR) Platform focuses on soft tissue management, with a full portfolio of best-in-class surgical solutions, focused within all types of hernia repair and breast surgery.

The Digital Marketing Manager is an experienced and results-driven digital marketing leader, who brings a solid understanding of the digital marketing landscape, digital customer experience building, optimizing paid media campaigns and executing email/CRM campaigns. 

This position will support BD’s Surgery Business Unit (BU) and report directly into the Advance Repair and Reconstruction (ARR) platform’s the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing.  It will be driving the execution of successful short-term and long-term digital marketing efforts to achieve business objectives, most immediately supporting ARR’s direct-to-patient (DTP) and direct-to-healthcare professionals (DTHCP) market activation workstream within the Hernia Transformation initiative.  This position will work collaboratively within the platform and cross-functionally across Surgery’s BU team and BDX teams as needed.

The Digital Marketing Manager is a marketing professional with solid business judgement, strategic thinking, and strong creative and analytical skills. He/she demonstrates a passion for interactive design, new technologies and forward-thinking ideas that results in a seamless user experience to drive demand and build the brand. 

Essential duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and optimize digital media campaigns on all channels and platforms, including SEM, SEO, social media, and email marketing, and  optimize the website and lead generation flows.

  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities to execute all digital campaigns, including adjusting and optimizing budgets, testing copy and creative assets and tracking performance with Omni-Channel Marketing Analyst(s).

  • Apply marketing campaign best practices and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience across multiple channels and tactics.

  • Identify and implement mechanisms for gathering market and customer data and insights to inform business direction.

  • Define targeting and customer segmentation for campaign efforts across a variety of channels

  • Compile, analyze and report performance data to be easily viewed and understood by key stakeholders across the organization.

  • Work cross functionally with content marketing teams to provide feedback on ad copy, ad design and landing page design for campaign optimization.

  • Work in strong collaboration with the ARR Digital and Global Marketing teams, as well as BU Marketing/Communications team, and across BDX matrix organization and marketing community

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing or Graphic Design; MBA preferred

  • Minimum of 4 years of digital marketing experience with applicable certification or experience with Adobe Suite (including Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Analytics), SFDC Sales Cloud and Communities, Marketo, Google Ads and Google Analytics, Facebook Ads and Analytics

  • Industry experience in biotech, pharma, med tech or health tech/digital health is preferred.

  • Agile certification is a plus

  • Agency background is desirable.

  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to consume, organize, manage and present data

  • Proven ability to use digital advertising to increase user acquisition and generate leads

  • Ability to work and think at both the strategic and tactical levels and to collaborate and work with others in a multifaceted environment

  • A great team player - collaborative, detail-oriented and organized, comfortable working in a cross-functional and highly matrixed environment with limited resources.

  • Ability to travel 10-15%
