Business Description: Professional Services within Global Customer Service at BD, Implementations teams plan and implement BD Pyxis Technologies and Alaris Infusion products and solutions nationally.  Implementation teams include resources from the Project Management Office, Regional Consulting & Installation teams as well as System and Interface Engineering.

Accountabilities
The Enterprise Program Manager is a senior staff position responsible for leading multiple concurrent BD implementation project teams (program) at strategic customer sites. They will act as a single, executive level interface with strategic customers as well as for BD leadership. Their intimate knowledge of product implementation life cycle as well as customer relationship management is critical. Working closely with Professional Services and Sales leadership, the Enterprise Program Manager will ensure BD project teams’ projects are in alignment and deliver on the proposed solution. 

Home-based position with daily and up to 50% overnight regional travel. Candidates must live near a major airport anywhere in the U.S.

Major Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports strategic direction of BD and provides leadership to the product implementation teams at customer sites
  • Supports product implementation teams to ensure the successful completion of their projects
  • Lead internal and customer program steering committee status calls; conduct regular customer executive status calls
  • Facilitate internal escalation of program risks & issues
  • Responsible for strategic customer satisfaction
  • Develops and reports regular program performance metrics to steering committees
  • Effectively utilize established tools and standards for communicating information to executive team regarding implementation activities
  • Establishes strong relationships at all levels within BD, client and prospect facilities
  • The EPM will analyze work effort and resources required across multiple projects and will identify opportunities to decrease rework and drive operational and implementation efficiencies
  • Maintain strong industry and product knowledge


What is expected of you for success in your role

  • Demonstrates depth and breadth of project management experience
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies and relevant clinical and IT operations
  • Manages implementation projects independently in a more complex environment
  • Facilitates strategic decisions to optimize implementation projects specific to the management of scope, financials and schedule
  • Anticipates project risks and develops mitigation strategies/plans for more complex risk factors
  • Serves as resource and/or mentor to team and less experienced project managers
  • Presents and communicates projects to senior level business management
  • Resolves conflicts across project team members and customers without functional intervention
  • Leads and directs the discussion with the project team and customers to define scope and project requirements
  • Influences internal and external customer expectations so ensure that expectations are aligned

Qualifications

  • BA or BS required; MBA preferred; PMP certification optional
  • At least 10 years of experience leading clinical product/medical device implementation projects in acute care settings
  • Knowledge and experience in Financial Analysis and Metrics
  • Proven track record as change champion and change leader
  • Proven track record as matrix leader of high performing technology and clinical teams
  • Proven track record of building teams in a dynamic growing company
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong grasp of technology and its impact on software deployment
  • Ability to contribute to operational and strategic development of the organization
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.
