We are the people who give possibilities purpose
BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world. Advancing the world of health™ is our Purpose, and it’s no small feat. It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.
Job Description
Join the ADx Technical Services team as the regional expert for BD COR PX, GX and MX platforms. In this expert-level EMEA role, you will help customers and service teams maximize system uptime, accelerate restoration, resolve complex escalations and build sustainable technical capability across the region. Reporting to the EMEA Regional Support and Training Manager, you will provide advanced technical support to customers, Customer Remote Support teams and Field Service Engineers across EMEA. Your priorities will be to enable all BD COR sites to achieve at least 98% uptime, support a five-hour median restoration target and strengthen regional expertise to reduce reliance on global escalation. You will collaborate closely with Field Service, Regional Support, Training & Application, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain and global service organizations in Sparks and Drachten.
Responsibilities
Maintain expert knowledge of BD COR PX, GX and MX configurations, modules, workflows, software, connectivity and service procedures, and transfer this knowledge through technical forums, documentation and an active EMEA expert network.
Lead advanced troubleshooting, remote diagnostics, log review and escalation execution, working with remote support and local field teams to improve first-time resolution and support a five-hour median restoration target.
Monitor site performance, recurring failure modes and escalation drivers, and coordinate regional action plans that protect at least 98% uptime across the installed base.
Develop, maintain and occasionally deliver BD COR technical training on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, workflows and escalation handling for field and remote support associates.
Support product launches, beta evaluations, upgrades, software releases, field corrective actions and service campaigns while ensuring regulatory, quality, documentation and timeline compliance.
Contribute to service readiness and lifecycle management, including spare-parts catalogues, car-stock recommendations, escalation-part availability, safety stock, ServiceMax records, technical reporting and knowledge capture.
Preferred Requirements
Engineering degree in electromechanics, electronics, automation, software, physics or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Proven field service instrument support experience; third-line support experience on complex automated diagnostic platforms is a strong advantage.
Knowledge of PC hardware and software, Windows, LIS, networking, middleware, databases and automated workflow connectivity.
Strong customer focus, analytical problem-solving ability, collaborative mindset and the capacity to manage multiple priorities across different cultures.
Effective presentation, technical training, teaching, communication, organization and planning skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Willingness to travel across Western Europe and the wider EMEA region for installations, escalations, training and service-readiness activities, up to 70%.
Location and travel
This Europe-based role requires regional travel across EMEA of up to 70%. Workplace arrangements will reflect the field-based nature of the position.
Salary range for the role: €65,000 to €71,000 gross annual base salary
