The SM Warehouse Clerk is responsible for assisting with the efficient and accurate operation of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materials and products to support BD Puerto Rico's manufacturing and distribution needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming materials and products, verifying quantities against purchase orders and inspecting for damages or discrepancies.

  • Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper labeling and organization.

  • Pick and stage materials for production orders or outbound shipments according to established procedures.

  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments, including labeling, weighing, and creating necessary documentation.

  • Operate various warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and hand trucks.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.

  • Perform regular inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliation as needed.

  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to the warehouse supervisor. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by supervision.


Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the workday.

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain certification).

  • Fluent in Spanish and basic English comprehension required.
